CRICKET VICTORIA MISSION STATEMENT:

"To ensure that Victorian Cricket excels both on and off the field and is a formidable and successful competitor in the sporting community and entertainment industry."

The purpose of the Pathway program is:

• To provide an opportunity for the elite players throughout Victoria to compete in a state championships which will assist in the selection of the Victorian U15 VSSSA Squad, Victorian U17 and U19 teams with the goal of feeding well rounded cricketers into Premier Club cricket and eventually the Bushranger
•  To enable Cricket Victoria to compare and contrast the elite cricketers at the same time under the same match conditions
•  To provide elite coaching, facilities and development opportunities at the top end of the Pathway
•  To promote the pathway within the Regions, Associations and clubs.

The Vision

• To consistently provide the optimum opportunity for the elite players in the region to perform at state championships level and beyond, providing quality coaching and administration.

General Pathway Goals:

• To promote & utilise the Premier coaching & facilities to Hawthorn Monash University Cricket Club and Ringwood Cricket Club.
• To promote Premier cricket as the 'elite' competition in Victoria & feeder to First Class Cricket

U18 State Championships

Primary Goals:

• To provide 4 players for Victorian Under 19 squad (2 in final team)
• To have 1 player earn a VIS scholarships.
• To consistently make the finals.
• To win 1 state championships in 5 years.

Secondary Goals:

• To provide avenue for players not yet identified to make the transition to Premier cricket
• To assist in identifying players for Victorian Under 19 representation.
• To provide an elite opportunity and experience for the elite Under 18 cricketers in Victoria
• To provide a pathway for scorers, umpire's, coaches and managers
• To promote premier cricket as the elite competition that feeds in Victorian U19 and ultimately Bushrangers selection.

U16 WJ Dowling

Primary Goals:

• To provide 4 players for the Vic U17 State Squad (2 in final team)
• To consistently make the finals.
• To win 1 state championships in 5 years.

Secondary Goals:

• To promote premier cricket as the elite competition that feeds into premier Cricket, and ultimately Bushrangers and Australian selection.

U14 State Championships

Primary Goals:

• To provide 4 players for VSSSA U15 squad (2 players to make final team)
• To consistently make the finals
• To win 1 state championships in 5 years

Strategies:

• To deliver a thorough and transparent selection process with documentation
• To provide quality coaching and facilities
• To maintain open lines of communication between players, coach, & manager
• To provide a clear program upfront (phases)
• To clearly define the roles of Manager, Coach and RCM

U13 Talent Squad

Primary Goals:

• To promote the Victorian Cricket Pathway to participants, parents, Associations and clubs
• To reward Associations and players for performances in Mitchell Shield and club cricket.

Secondary Goals:

• Clear introduction to parents, coaches and participants
• 2 day coaching program
• Player report
• Eastern Challenge under 13 Game
